Who can become a member:

   Any person who will promote and maintain interest in Romanian culture
and heritage, regardless of nationality or religion may become an active
member of any Society in the Union and League, through a
recommendation by any active member of that society.

   Joining as a group gives the benefit of strength of an organization that is well organized, socially and politically, in the U.S., Canada, and Romania. As the oldest and largest organization of Romanians outside of Romania, the U&L can provide contacts on a level that is not possible through any other organization anywhere. Some examples include the recent meetings of the U & L president with the U.S. State Department, U.S. ambassador to Romania, Romanian ambassador to the U.S., Romanian ministers of Education, Justice, Romanian president and his cabinet, just to name a few.
    The possibilities of social/cultural and political activities through the U & L are endless. Much can be achieved through a national organization that is not possible on a local level.

   Through unity among Romanians, we will succeed at whatever we try to accomplish and Romanians everywhere will benefit.
